OUR AMBITION IS TO END BOOK POVERTY FOR OVER 120,000 VULNERABLE CHILDREN

Trees 4 Books Project aims to improve the qual­i­ty of edu­ca­tion and lit­er­a­cy lev­els for vul­ner­a­ble chil­dren by mak­ing books freely acces­si­ble for chil­dren in poor­ly fund­ed schools while pro­mot­ing envi­ron­men­tal con­ser­va­tion edu­ca­tion. Through the Trees 4 Books project, we intend to estab­lish libraries and orchards in over 270 poor­ly fund­ed schools for over 120,000 vul­ner­a­ble chil­dren.

Sup­ple­ment Nutri­tion For Chil­dren Com­ing From Poor House­holds By Estab­lish­ing Orchards In Schools

In col­lab­o­ra­tion with our part­ners Wildlife Envi­ron­men­tal Con­ser­va­tion Soci­ety of Zam­bia we will pro­mote envi­ron­men­tal con­ser­va­tion edu­ca­tion amongst chil­dren and increase aware­ness around the impact of defor­esta­tion on our envi­ron­ment among oth­er things.

Tree cut­ting for paper pro­duc­tion con­tributes about 20% of all glob­al car­bon emis­sions that are for glob­al warm­ing. Because books are made from paper, we teach chil­dren the impor­tance of trees and the impact of defor­esta­tion on our envi­ron­ment.
